Smile what is the mark and information on sea mines dropped by the RAF

Does anyone have information or a link I can look at for info on 'sea mines' that were 'sowen' by the RAF in 1939-45.

Mark, names, sizes etc would be a good start.

Cheers,

Danny

Re: what is the mark and information on sea mines dropped by the RAF

Hi Danny,

please have a look:

http://www.navweaps.com/Weapons/WAMBR_Mines.htm

http://www.hnsa.org/doc/minedisposal/p03ch0pg01.htm

In ORB´s I have found the following designations:

F642 Sub Ass 23 Mk. VI
B 230 (1day -9 day) Mk. IV
D 406 Mk. IV
G 726 Mk. IV
G 718 (PIM 2, 4, 6) Mk.IV

Hope this helps.

Rgds,
Kaczmarek
