Recent North Sea Find

Can anyone idenify this (uncleaned) item recently found in the North Sea. Not confirmed it is from a He 111 but could it be an oxygen regulator?

Re: Recent North Sea Find

Chris,

yes it is a "Höhenatmer" with pressure control instrument, but hard to say if it belonged to a He 111. They had been installed in every kind of Luftwaffe a/c.

Best Regards
Norbert

Re: Recent North Sea Find

Chris,

in addition to compare the find You've posted to what i believe to have been the instrument in new shape, i've done a scan out of the book "Deutsche Flugzeug-Cockpits 1935-1945" by Kenneth A. Merrick.

Best Regards
Norbert
