The Grandaughter of the above (who now lives in the UK) would like to know more about the above.
I have he was born 6 Sep 18 in Döben, killed either 21 Jan 45 (gravestone) or 23 Jan 45 (VDK) and is buried at Bramsche. Is he the same Horst Porath who was a Uffz & FF with 1/KG 55 and awarded the Pokal 1 Jun 42 and DKiG 9 Sep 42?

I have not found a NVM, but I have:
1945-01-23, 8./KG 76, Ar 234B-2, Absturz. Bruch 100 %.
Flugzeugführer Fw Porath, Horst (* 1918-09-06, EKM 67015/151), +
Because MOB-numbers 67015/1 - 67015/183 (from 1940-04 untill 1942-12) were from I/KG 55, it seems very probable, that he is the same person.

Thanks Matti.......again. It looks like as he was buried at Bramsche, he was one of the victims of 401 Sqn who destroyed 3 and damaged 5 Ar 234s in the circuit at Bramsche that morning. Of interest, did III/KG 76 lose any more or were they overclaiming?
