I may add that Col. Bonini took part to three of Balbo's mass cruisers as co-pilot: East Mediterranean, Italia-Brasile and the Crociera del Decennale in 1933.
He flew in the Istres- Damasco - Parigi race as co-pilot in one of the two BR.20 that didn't manage to reach Paris.
