Re: SG losses between Feb.-April 45 in Tutow
Good afternoon,
> 1945-03-25, I/SG 1, FW 190F-8, 584359, Unbekannt. Bruch 100 % looks interesting and is the one to investigate Plane and Pilot missing from a mission in the area: South of Küstrin/Oder. Very likely lost behind the lines, i.e. in today Poland. Around the 25th March 45, the I./SG 1 used the airfield Fürstenwalde (Spree), located between Frankfurt/Oder and Berlin, far away from Tutow area (~ 180 km distance). On the 25th + the days before and after, I./SG 1 had quite a few damaged aircraft (crash landings, collisions on the airfield or during landing circuit) at or or close by Fürstenwalde/Spree (Gen.Qu.-losslists & WAst. personnel-losses). So ... i think, it's not really worth to follow this track (584359). Regards, Uwe / Karlsruhe-DE |
