8./JG2 lost pilot 21 October 1941

Hi guys

Can anyone help with the identity of the 8./JG2 pilot shot down on 21 October 1941 in the Boulogne area, please?

Cheers

The only JG 2 losses I have on that date were in accidents or an engine failure. What do you have that indicates a shoot-down?

Hi John

Its mentioned in Don Caldwell's JG26 War Diary, page 185.

Possibly the pilot survived unhurt and therefore not recorded?

Cheers

The 1941 the damage and VLM reports are still with us. Of course, there may have been minimal damage (less than 10%) which would not be recorded. Also, JG 2 could be pretty slack, at times, with its record keeping.
