Seenotdienst
Hi Chris,
In a nutshell: Between 1934 and 1939 there was no Seenotdienst by the Luftwaffe. Rescue rescue cases over the North Sea or the Baltic Sea were handled by local commanders by means of ships and aircraft from combat or school units based near the coast. in April of 1939 SNFlKdo. 1 was formed. This I asume confirms that this unit was KM. Regards, Norbert
