Re: Danish researchers wanted
I'm researching a Halifax MkII crash that occured over Denmark in January 1943.
I'm looking for any Danish researchers/historians that might be able to help me... Here's hoping someone may be able to get in touch. Many thanks.... |

Re: Danish researchers wanted
Charlie, one of the purposes of this forum is so that everyone learns from the research and knowledge of forum members. So, rather than a PM, I suggest posting the details here, so people can help and we all gain knowledge.

Re: Danish researchers wanted
Charlie
I echo John's words. Your wordings are a bit unclear as well. A crash cannot occur over anything since everything must come down somewhere. With this i am not trying to knit pick you, but please be aware that even if something happened over Denmark, the aircraft actually may have come down within Swedish jurisdiction, either as a complete aircraft or one or more of its crew may have been located on Swedish teritory, dead or alive... In 1943 there are nine Halifaxes with a Swedish connection.... Please post what you got and let see if we can help you. Cheers Stig |

Re: Danish researchers wanted
Hello,
and thankyou for all your replies and 'constructive' criticism....all your points have been duly noted. I appreciate that. At this early stage, I had no intention of going into the specifics...I was merely asking if there were any Danish researchers willing to help me with a particular crash. To be more specific, the aircraft crashed in Denmark and was shot down by a German Gun emplacement. That much I do know. Thank you very much for all your advice. |
