Re: Ju88 Werke Nr. 140099 Data Plate
Jarek/Ed
Many thanks. Yes - the part was recovered recently from the Blackbrook site and is, I understand, from a Ju88A-4 Werke Nr. 140099 coded 4D + FP. I will post photos of a couple of other bits we are trying to identify. Nick |

Re: Ju88 Werke Nr. 140099 Data Plate
Not seen such instruction placard before (that I remember). BTW the 140099 dates from about June 1942, new-(parts) made in April/May 42, so it might have had more replacement/re-cycled parts fitted, but no crash over 10% recorded.

If plane is elevated (Tail on stand) and engine not supported, do not remove the cap.

Re: Ju88 Werke Nr. 140099 Data Plate
This one is obviously a component data plate but again if anyone is able to provide identification/more information I would be most grateful.

Re: Ju88 Werke Nr. 140099 Data Plate
Hello Yeomans,
If the Hersteller code of the last photo you posted is as I believe, “jfw,“ then it would be: Otto Bark, Motoren/Wasserpumpe für Jumo 211 (1945), Dresden, Tharandterstr. 35 (S). Steve Sheflin |

Re: Ju88 Werke Nr. 140099 Data Plate
Steve,
Many thanks. Yes - the Hersteller code is "jfw". The aircraft was a Ju88A-4 that crashed at Blackbrook, North Holmwood, UK on 14 March 1944. Nick |
