Re: Fighter Command Daily Ops 1940
Hi Brian,
Just try the appendices of ORB Fighter Command (AIR24/525 & 526). I've consulted later series for later war issues and these contain some kind of daily operations with times, involved squadrons and summaries of operations. Good luck and regards, Hans |

Re: Fighter Command Daily Ops 1940
Hi Brian,
There is more than one set of files that tell 'what happened'. Go to the catalogue and search 'DAILY', year '1940', Department 'AIR' and take your pick: War Room Daily Summaries, Daily Resumés of Air Operations, A.M.W.R. daily reports for summary, Battle of Britain: daily state of operational aircraft and crews in Fighter Command, Daily summaries of operations, Daily operational summaries, etc. One of them will be the one you are thinking of and hopefully something new will pop up as well. HTH, Bruce

Re: Fighter Command Daily Ops 1940
Hello Brain
Add to Hans post AIR 24/527, which has a brief "Ops Records" amongst the sections in the volume. I heard that a F.C. Daily Account was held at the RAF Museum? Mark |
