Your version of August 12, 1941 interception of 12 SB from 40 BAP is very interesting. According to Andrey Mikhailov in Black Cross and Red Star Vol 1, 40 BAP lost three SB during a noon interception, again by II./JG 77. Are your six losses + three forcelandings ONLY from Wintergest's actions or do they cover the losses of the whole day as suggested in the book? If not which three aircraft were lost during the noon raid on Odessa? B Rgds Stig
