Hi Char -

Your single photo does not tell us much, but at least you learned how to post a photo on this web site, which is more than I know. I was hoping you might have photo captions and letters with names, places and dates that would offer clues as to where she was and when.

Below are a couple of links that discuss the so-called Blitz-Girls and these should prove of interest as well as help to you. I am assuming that she was a Luftnachrichtenhelferin (Air Force Signals Female Auxiliary) and not a German Army or Navy girl, because they had female signals auxiliaries also.

So go ahead and read these links. "Cammie", who initiated the second thread, is a single mom with a couple of kids and lived in the Reno, Nevada, area at the time of the discussion. Fortunately, she had numerous letters and photos of her g-grandmother that had the necessary names, places and dates.

THIS IS FOR YOU LARRY!!!!!!


Everytime you cck o ew Thread there is a box that you write in for your thread then just below it is aother box entitled Additional Options and inside of that box there is a smaller box labeled Manage Attachments. CLICK on MANAGE ATTACHMENTS and then it will prompt you to go upload images onto your computer make sure after you find the photos you want to put on the site that you click the upload button and WAIT on them to upload.

i do have other pictures of Germany or austria that i could post on here and maybe someone might know where they were taken. Would you like for me to post them as well? Could be on the Luftwaffe base.....
