Re: German treatment of captured Soviet Flying Personnel
I think you have to make a distinction between what happens on Luftwaffe airfields when German airmen captured their opponents, and then what happened once the POWs were integrated into the general POW management of Nazi Germany, that was very harsh (to say the least) for Soviet.
The official line was the second one (Soviet, like all Slavs being subhuman beings in Nazi ideology). |
