29 June 1943 - JG 2 losses

Hi, I´m looking for info about JG 2 losses this day - from D.Caldwell excelent book Day fighters in defence of the Reich I have info about 1 loss of I./JG2 and 3 losses of II./JG2 - 65.Sq pilot claimed this day 0-1-0 Fw 190 and Capt. C.P. London (83 FS, 78 FG) claimed 2-0-0 ME 109G.

A quick look at my records and I have:

2/JG 2 FW 190 A-4, 5671, Black 1 Fw Walter Haase-+. Killed in crash landing Pont Audemer
6/JG 2 Bf 109 G-4, 16115, Yellow 9 Uffz Willi Elfert-+ Ste Nazaire
12/JG 2 Bf 109 G-6, 19483, Blue 15 Uffz Werner (Günther?) Fischer-+ Grandes Ventes (?)
12/JG 2 Bf 109 G-6, 19487, Blue 8 Uffz Richard Lüdemann-+ Yvetot
12/JG 2 Bf 109 G-6, 19486 Fw Helmut Becker-w. Landed Dieppe damaged

I wonder if Haase's loss corresponds with Storrar's probable 190 off Le Havre albeit the loss report says luftkampf mit viermot. Ste Nazaire is way west so probably falls outside your series of combats.

The Elfert G-4 was WNr. 16150, WNr. 16115 being lost by 9./JG 54 on 14-May-43.

because Im interesting in period 04-12/1943 in relation to Mighty Eight raid, the book mentioned by Jim P. is from category "must have".

Faenor,

The "Die Jagdfliegerverbände" series now comprises some 23 volumes and Mr. Prien and his team still have one more book to go finish 1943!! A hefty, but most worthwhile investment if you can swing it.
