If the subject Dora is indeed a Bodenplatte aircraft, I doubt it would already have had wooden flaps.

Having said that, wooden parts that you would find even on early-production D-9s include the MW 50 tank hatch at the bottom fuselage centre; the equipment access hatch on the fuselage port side; the tail fin cap; the triangular shaped inspection hatch for the tail gear leg / vertical stabilizer on the port side of the fin, and possibly the rudder structure.

Given the relative thickness of the wood plus the size and shape of the part that you have, my initial though would be that it is part of the tail fin cap (others may know better, though).

Could you possibly share any further information on the aircraft, e.g. its crash location, Werknummer, unit, etc?
