Otto Bertram

Larry, you list Otto Bertram as Kdr I./JG 101 06.01.43-30.04.44 and as Kdr I./JG 105 25.02.43-13.09.43.
He may have transfered from JG 101 to JG 105 in so short a time and be back to JG 101 in September, but if this is what happened (this is yet to be proven) who was in command of I./JG 101 in the meantime?

Re: Otto Bertram

Possibly an acting Kommandeur was assigned during that period. We have mined out all of the available records of the school units and other training units so we have no further information. There are many unresolved conflicts in the fragmented data. You might want to contact BA-MA and see if you can get a copy of his LPA Anweisungs-/Zuteilungskartei, or have someone (or yourself) go to Freiburg and copy the information from the card.

Chris

Carlsen/Meyer list exactly the same details as Larry in their book.

Cheers

Re: Otto Bertram

Larry, I know what I owe to your fantastic work and I had no intent to criticize it in any manner.
This is just a small detail.

I am currently working on an article for my magazine on the JG 101-117 and unsurprisingly many details have to be sorted out.
