Re: Books about Air War over Italy and Sicily 1943-45
The books on the axis air forces are just a few of the ones recommended so far, but there are many others on the allied side of the equation. Here's a few more:
Spitfires over Sicily (One of the authors – Brian Cull – is a regular to this forum.) Beaufighters in the Night (About the 417 NF Squadron USAAF, operating from Corsica over Italy and Southern France.) Shark Squadron (112 Sqn RAF – over the Desert and Italian Campaigns) Straight Down (By Peter Smith, is about the North American A-36 Mustang/Apache Dive-bomber, covers Sicily and Italian Campaigns and operations from Corsica…as well as Burma.)
