Re: eBay: one late Bf 109 with RV Band: JG 4

Hi Uwe,

thank you very much for unraveling the conflicting records in this case!

I had listed Hooks loss with S of Eschweiler, because of the "blue 17" from Report No.265 between all other losses from this date, despite the ASM-engine and the 464xxx serial.

Another interesting entry in this report is Bf 109 G "3" near Kornelimünster. Maye Rademacher?

Regards,

Alexander

Hi Alex,

good point !

As far as i know, Rademacher is still "missing" (here: no known grave), either buried as "unknown" in Lommel/B or Aachen, or simply perished in the flames/explosion of the crash.

I know ADI.(g) 265 (29/01/45), gives a "3" (no colour, or other markings given) in the last entry on page -2-, with DB 605 A-1 engine no. 00205026 + location "N.E. Kornelimünster".
But i think, this is not enough evidence for WASt. There are too many "3s" lost in this time period, and too many '109s without even knowing the markings (summary loss reports). A "3" is simply not enough as proof, without a list of engine-numbers correlated to plane WNrs., i'm afraid.

Cheers,
Uwe (Karlsruhe/D)

For Google´s sake, Uwe: Kornelimünster instead of Kornerlimünster
