Another Destroyed FW 190

Another one from my dad's collection.
My dad was a mechanic with RCAF 403 Wolf Squadron.
The caption on the back just says "Destroyed FW 190".

Can anyone identify this plane?

Cheers,

Kickinghorse

Looks like a Fw190A from sturmstaffel 1, the pains still shows were the armoured plates were fitted. Odd that at least one was still around at the end of the war.

The unit operated the A6 and A-7 models. It was disbanded at the end of April 1944.

Band is to dark compared to the balkenkreuz for the black/white/black of JG4.

Would go with a JG2 or JG6 machine.

Kickinghorse1, it would help if the base the photo was taken at was known.

Band is too dark! It doesn't get any darker than black. The Balkenkreuz looks faded.

Yellow looks black in some types of films.

Sorry, I have no idea where or when the photo was taken. I am going through my dad's old war photos and trying to identify some. I really appreciate the response I am getting on this forum.
Thank you.

PS: Thanks for all posted photos. Very interesting indeed, and if you have more Spits, I would very much like to see them as well.
