It would be interesting to have a look through the book, but it would have to be an outstanding one to even come close to matching the detail in John Lundstrom's superb "The First Team".

Totally in agreement. Lundstrom's TFT and follow-on Guadalcanal campaign volume together are outstanding examples of scholarship and readability, and unsurpassed in covering the subject - just read the reviews of TFT on Amazon to see how high the bar was raised . . .
