Re: LW pilot Gunther Stark
First of all, try to get a hold of the two volume Unit History of JG 4 written by Eric Mombeek. This will answer most if not all questions you have of Oblt. Stark's time with I.JG 4. Oblt. Günter Stark was born on 16. August 1923 in Eichdamm, Kreis Wohlau (Schlesien).
On 14. January 1945 he was shot down by Thunderbolts. According to my records he was buried at the Hauptfriedhof Ludwigshafen where he still rest at Block H, Reihe III, Grab 375. Cheers, John. Ps. buy the two volumes and you will know all. Last edited by John Manrho; 5th January 2014 at 20:07. Reason: typo's |
