Hi,

During an Aphrodite mission to Mimoyecques V3 site on 12 August 1944 died JFK's older brother, Joseph Kennedy Jr.

Regards,

Re: Operation Aphrodite

Thanks a million Alex - excellent information.

Cheers
Brian

On the first Aprodite operation one co-pilot was killed when the BQ-7 crashed at Orford on 4/8/44. Has anyone his identity? And what was the serial number of his aircraft - either 41-24639, 42-39825, 42-30342 or 42-3461?

Another pilot was killed on 11/9/44 aboard 42-30180. Has anyone his identity?

Many thanks

Brian

Re: Operation Aphrodite

Hi Brian,

I send you a link about Aphrodite missions, (sorry it’s in French, I have no time to translate this, but with a Free Translator on the web, you surely understand the text)

You’ll find serial numbers and pilots’ names that I find for each “BQ-7”.

http://test01163.sivit.org/phpBB2/vi...ight=aphrodite

Hoping, that helps you in you search.

Blue spader .

Blue Spader

Many thanks indeed. Possibly, by now, you and the others have realised that I am not very bright when it comes to the Internet, and now I have to admit that I do not know how to use (or even find) a Free Translator! Help!

And how can I read the minutely printed Resume of Missions that presumably gives the names of the pilots of the BQ-7s?

Brian
