If you search on freebmd.org.uk

there was one man named Albert E Marsland born in 1921 in East Retford district England.

mothers maiden name was Ruskin.
I would think that your airman was this chap. Not a popular surname.
His parents might then be Charles and Dorothy.

And he may have had a twin brother!
You would have too buy his RAF service file to be sure. Were there any RAAF or RCAF on board?
