Peter Düttmann's claims on 17 September 1944

Hello,

On 17 September 1944 Lt Peter Düttmann of 6./JG 52 claimed two Rumanian aircraft shot down, an IAR-80 at 1725 hrs at 4500 m in PlQ 37625 and an He 111 at 1735 hrs at 3500 m in PlQ 47314.

According to the online history of 2 Grupul Vânãtoare, this day a formation of He 111 escorted by the IAR fighters of this unit was attacked by German Bf-109Gs. Because of their low speed compared to the Messerschmitts, the IARs couldn't prevent the destruction of one of the bombers. One IAR-81C was also damaged.

I would be interested to know the numbers of these claims in Düttman's score, and more details about Rumanian losses (especially serial numbers and fate of the crew). I guess Rumanian losses in September 1944 should be posted on the Allied part of this forum, but Rumanian experts may see it more easily on this part.

According to Barbas in his II./JG 52 volume they were Düttmann's 92nd and 93rd victories
