This happened at 12.50-13.25 (M.T.) in combat with I/JG54 in Yam-Izhora - Mga area.
Two La-5 of 263 IAP were damaged and left the battle to make force landings on the home field (claims by Scheel and Mack). Three more of St.Lt. Smirnov, Maj. Kuznetsov and Gen.Maj. Kravchenko were shot down with pilots being killed (claims by Fuchs, Ademeit and Beutin).
