Seeking loss details for Stab/KG76 15.8.40

Hi, I believe I have conflicting information on the 15.8.40 concerning Dornier 17's of Stab/KG76.

Do17Z Oblt.Lommatzich( Battle over Britain by Francis K Mason) crew returned unhurt.
Only Lommatsch ( BoBTN Winston G Ramsey ) sev.wia (died 7.9.40), Fw.Winterhalder also wounded in action. Raid on Redhill Aerodrome.

Do17Z Hptm Erich Laszig piloted possibly one of the two a/c?
Gen.Mjr.Stefan Froehlich Geschwader Kommodore also on board one of these a/c?

Who can confirm these names or provide actual loss details. Any help would be appreciated.
Best regs,
Steve.

I have just answered this via your PM! Laszig from Stab was believed to have been the pilot for Fw Kurt Winterhalder. Oblt Hans Lommatsch from Stab III was pilot for Fröhlich. He died of wounds 7 Sep 40. Source-diary of a KG 76 member

Re: Seeking loss details for Stab/KG76 15.8.40

Hi Chris thanks for your reply.

Firstly both sources refer to these two incidents as a/c from the Stab/KG76 , I wasn't aware one of these was from the StabIII/KG76. Was Laszig and Winterhalder returning from the Redhill op because both sources again refer to their flight as Non-operational.
For Griesinger, was he part of the Lommatsch crew or in his own a/c? I know you mentioned he was part of the Stabkette, so ultimately took part in the Redhill op!
Many thanks for now.
Steve.

Talking Re: Seeking loss details for Stab/KG76 15.8.40

There has been quite a bit on this between Peter C/Matti/self and we now believed that:

- Lommatsch from Stab III was flying in a Stab ac and that the Kette was him (with Fröhlich and also we think Winterhalder so presumably other Stab aircrew), Lindmayr and Griesinger
- Lommatsch was fatally wounded and Winterhalder wounded in the Redhill atatck in the same ac.
