Petsamo, Kirkenes, Banak, Vardoe JG5 August 1944

Hello,

perhaps it would be interesting for somebody:
action statistic for JG5 between 16.8.-31.8.44 recorded by Fliegerfuehrer 3:
8 scrambles, 110 sorties, 59 claims.
Losses:
2 Bf109s were shot down by enemy fighters
1 Bf109 failed to return
1 Bf109 was hit by enemy fire and crashed on landing (70%)
1 Bf109 returned with bullet holes
During the same time 3 Bv 138 failed to return from escort and recon sorties.
