Moien Horst,
what about the WASt? I know also an former Nightfighter Pilot, was from Bitburg (!!), he told me the same about the carrots!! And he told me another strange story: He and his crew get by the end of the war (April 45) the order flying their Bf 110 from Vienna to the Isle of Rhodos and deliver same secret papers. (Sounds more then an mission for KG 200)! He told me also that this was an "No Return" flight! When the british landed at Rhodos, they became PoW and spent a year or so in Aqypt! h.
