..it is indeed, but there was surprisingly little Luftwaffe coverage I thought, especially compared with the amount of material in Roba's 'Luftwaffe seaplanes' Vol III (Lela Presse)....perhaps the W 34 wasn't as widely used 39-45 as I imagined....or more likely the scope of the book ranges too wide to allow more comprehensive Luftwaffe coverage...

You are right. When German use is concerned the emphasis is on the pre-war period. We cover military use before 1935 in detail (Severa, DVL, DVS, Lipetsk, etc), and also RLM acqusition and production for the RLM until 1938.

I am glad you liked the book! Not all books on German aircraft types are based on thorough research in the archives.

indeed! It is up there with another of my favourites, the Dabrowski/Achs "Focke Wulf Fw 191 ..und das Bomber B-Programm", a really high class production. I was wondering if there was perhaps scope for another volume dealing purely with wartime use?

Well, to tell you the truth all three authors are more interested in the interwar period, but one never knows. In any case we have decided to move on with another product from the workshops at Dessau.
