Gentlemen,

I was thinking very hard about what other named Luftwaffe pilots besides Siegfried Freytag that end up in the French Foreign Legion. So far I couldn't think of any. Most of them had end up as ground infantryman. Maybe a few ended up flying helicopters. There was one former Stuka pilot that wrote his autobiography about his time not only as a Stuka pilot,but also as a infantryman in the French Foreign Legion. Unfortunately it's not in English language. I think his last name was Ellers.
