I would say the British claims were excellent. If we compare the claims in 1944 with the often very wild and inaccurate ones back in 1941-42 it was a great transformance. I would say it speaks millions with regard to the decision the British took to learn their pilots to shoot which was in 1943 if I remember correctly. It turned the bad ones into acceptable ones and the acceptables into good ones. One of the best decisions taken in my mind by the British. Cheers Stig |
