Ar 196 Tirpitz Bismarck May 1941

Seeking pics of these Bismarck planes (below) or ones on Prinz Eugen, May 41 only? Has anyone any confirmed pics? Saved from eBay or otherwise. Scan required, please, if possible.

T3+IH (Red "I" seems odd), as photo shows all codes in Black.

http://www.mc-hobbyshop.com/en/arado...rontier-f.html

Bismarck had:
Ar 196 A-2 W.Nr. 0123 “T3+DL” (Fw. J. Kemple)
Ar 196 A-3 W.Nr. 0150 “T3+MK” (Fw. W. Seeliger)
Ar 196 A-2 W.Nr. 0110 “T3+AK” (Fw. O. Andersen)
Ar 196 A-2 W.Nr. 0052 “T3+JH” (Uffz. E. Lange)

Did any Atlantic raider (1939/1940) carry Ar 196s or He 114s ?

Hi ed , i collected from ebay some pictures of the big ships. I will see later tonight if the required pics are among them. I know one raider had a plane without markings on it, i will post them later.

I believe the German raiders Komet and Orion both carried the Ar 196.

I have no picture that reveal codes from the Prinz Eugen or the Bismarck. Few from the Hipper one small series getting the Arado back onboard with a "wave equalizer"

All commerce raiders of the Kriegsmarine carried one or two floatplanes. In 1939 the DEUTSCHLAND and ADMIRAL GRAF SPEE carried one Ar 196 each. Four of the armed merchant cruisers (KOMET, ORION, THOR and WIDDER) sent on war patrol in 1940 also carried one Ar 196, the KORMORAN had two Ar 196 aboard and ATLANTIS and PINGUIN carried two He 114.

Adding a little bit to the above:

Bismarck's airwing.
Arado Ar196
Crew
Werk.No.052, markings T3+IH
Pilot: Unteroffizier Ernst Lange.
Observer: Leutenant Günter Lademann.

Werk.No.110, markings T3+AK
Pilot: Feldwebel Oskar Andersen.
Observer: Leutenant zur See Rolf Hambruch.

Werk.No.123, markings T3+DL
Pilot: Feldwebel Josef Kempfle.
Observer: Oberleutenant Siegfried Mühling.

Werk.No.150, markings T3+MK
Pilot: Feldwebel Werner Seeliger.
Observer: Leutenant Martin Lange.

Arados T3 + IH, T3 + AK, and T3 + DL were of the A-2 type, while T3 + MK was an A-3.

Hope this is of interest.

Re: Ar 196 Tirpitz Bismarck May 1941

Thanks again, all. -Ed

PS: Mark, removing one nulls from W.Nr.´s is not correct to do, they were either W.Nr. 0196/0052 or just 196 0052 as some write them.
(My source is GQM losses for them.)
