July 24th 1940:

Stab III/JG52.
Messerschmitt Bf109E. Sortie to England, shot down by RAF Spitfires and crashed in the sea off Margate, Kent, 11.35am. Hptm. Wolf-Heinrich Frhr. von Houwald (Gruppe Kommandeur) killed. Aircraft lost.

7/JG52.
Messerschmitt Bf109E. Sortie to England, shot down by RAF fighters and crashed in the sea off Margate, Kent. Oblt. Herbert Fermer (Staffelkapitan) killed. Aircraft lost.

Messerschmitt Bf109E. Sortie to England, shot down by RAF fighters and crashed in the sea off Margate, Kent. Gefr. Erich Frank (F) killed. Aircraft lost.

8/JG52.
Messerschmitt Bf109E. Sortie to England, shot down by RAF Spitfires and crashed in the sea 8 miles off Margate, Kent, 12.35pm. Oblt. Lothar Ehrlich (Staffelkapitan) baled out but missing. Aircraft lost.

July 25th 1940:

7/JG52.
Messerschmitt Bf109E. Sortie to England, shot down by RAF Spitfires and crashed in the Channel off Dover, Kent, 6.40pm. Oblt. Willi Bielefeld (Staffel Führer) killed. Aircraft lost.

Messerschmitt Bf109E. Sortie to England, shot down by RAF Spitfires and crashed in the Channel off Dover, Kent, 6.45pm. Oblt. Wilhelm Keidel (Staffelkapitan) missing. Aircraft lost.

Messerschmitt Bf109E. Sortie to England, shot down by RAF Spitfires and crashed in the Channel off Dover, Kent, 6.45pm. Lt. Hans Schmidt (Adjutant) missing. Aircraft lost.

Messerschmitt Bf109E. Sortie to England, shot down by RAF Spitfires and crashed at Elvington Court, nr Deal, Kent, 6.40pm. Uffz. Max Reiss (F) captured. Aircraft 6+ a write-off.
