Re: P38 shot down in france onn 9 august 1944
Cargill in 42-104093 was on 8th August and forced landed at St Pierre-du-Mont/A1 due to engine failure.
I have Keller in 43-28377 going down in Germany at Leopoldshafen - 10 Km North of Karlsruhe. Burns is a possibility - I overlooked that one and he went down in the St Poix area (near Moraine?) according to my list but as it was a droop-snoot, it should be easily identifiable if wreck recovery is in the offing! I think you will find that your Moraine should be Mortaine but still quite a way from St Poix. Peter
