Re: 7 June 1944 in France : a JU52 /3mg8e of Verbindungsstaffel/Lfl.Kdo.3 crash

Thanks Nick and Chris but the JU52 you quote crashed near Dreux,
so, it is another aircraft,

The one I am searching information about crashed at Cazaux, near Arcachon, on the Atlantic ocean coast;

So, I wonder:

- - what was this aircraft was doing there on 7 June 1944….
- -If the JU52/3mg8e is the seaplane version of the JU52 ?
- - the “Verbindungsstaffel/Lfl.Kdo.3” is “liaison squadron of Luftflotte Kommando 3” ?

thanks for your help, as usual.

(a) Ju 52s were used to transport men, correspondence, supplies, ammunition and spare parts to Luftwaffe airfields throughout France. Ju 52 A7+HK of the Luftverhkehrsgruppe was found burnt out at Cazaux on 25 September and that unit had been carrying all these things to bases in Italy and France.
(b) I'd say it was a land plane because of the unit it belonged to.
(c) Yes.
