2./NJG 3

Hello,

Uffz. Wilhelm Gölzenleuchter and his crew was shot down in the night of 25/26 november 1943. I have two sources: M.Balss personalverluste and V.Scherzer personellen Verluste. Both have a different spelling of the bw/bm name:

Balss: Endrigkeit. Scherzer: Endrikat.
Also I checked the VDK website with no resultaat on both names.

Does someone has more information about the correct name?
And perhaps where he and Uffz. Gölzenleuchter are buried?
Thx in advance.

Dirk

Re: 2./NJG 3

According to VLM name was Herbert Endrikat. He originated from Ostpreussen. Perhaps crew was heimatüberführt. Crash was near Hannover.

John

Re: 2./NJG 3

Endrikat is a typical Eastern-Prussian name. -at and -eit are the endings of such names, hence the confusion imo.
