Re: Bf 109G

Hello and thank you very much,

Would it be possible to have more photos of this mechanical part? An enlargement of the bottom right plate could give us (maybe) a FL ......
The debris was found together and had (normally) to be part of the same room. I have not found any other pictures on the Internet ....

In addition,
Joël

Re: Bf 109G

Hello,
Thank you for these photos that confess that these external fragments were on the brakes. The circular centerpiece had to be hidden underneath.
Thanks to you and harrison987.
In addition,

Re: Bf 109G

That circular centerpiece looks odd to me. Such thing is not hidden in 109 brake system? Could it be from something else aeroplane than Me109. Those dust covers surely was used in many aeroplanes??

Re: Bf 109G

You're probably right.
The apparatus is indeed a Me 109.
Fragments 1 and 2 were found together and "seems" to be completed !! . The outside of the central part is provided with two pipes which could, perhaps, be supplied with oil?
In addition,
Joel.

Re: Bf 109G

The center round part is part of the brake system and the two "pipes" are the lines coming from the brake pedal and the other is the bleeder to remove air from the incoming brake line and cylinder. Von lutz
