The US aircraft industry did not and still today does not use metric fasteners.

FYI - Both Airbus and Boeing make extensive use of American standards for hardware, like MIL spec, MS (Military Standard), AN (Army Navy Standard or NAS (National Aerospace Standard). No metric on either.
