Tempest V JN802 W/O J R Duncan 16.30 - 18.43 Tempest V N753 W/O C Maddaford 16.30 - 18.43 Tempest V EJ697 /O T M Austin 16.30 - 18.43 Tempest V EJ697 P/O C E Blee 16.30 - Armed Recce Kiel area. Loco + 50 Otrgs, north-west. 05345 strafed. 2 Ju 88's flying north-east of Jagel at deck level sighted and attacked. Both destroyed, one by F/Lt McDonald and one by W/O Duncan. P/O Blee was hit by flak and crashed at 80555, very heavily, and not seen to leave machine, although orbitted for about ten minutes. Claim: 2-0-0; Locos 0-1; Ammo expended 245 x 20 mm.
