Me 262 base?
George Preddy's brother, Bill, from the 339th FG and another 339th pilot were shot down on Apr.17.1945. They were shot down over the Budweis airport in CZ. The unit was German AA artillery flag 302th Ersatz, 11th regiment. This artillery was there from: 10.01.1942- to: 04.30.1945.
262s were based there and that's what they were chasing. Does anyone have any clue what 262 unit(s) was based there in this time? Tough because so many units were retreating into CZ from German and Austria. THKS |
