In respect of unit badges, I am aware of what they were for I & II Gruppen but the photos I have and have seen do not show anythying apart from Kennzeichen. As to some of the kills by KG 51, could they have been daytime as they were used in this way some times? However, I do know for certain that II/KG 51 did try and intercept at night-one was probably shot down by 239 Sqn, the British crew being puzzled thast the aircraft was not emitting radar pulses. I have no objection to you using my photos on your site as long as they are credited
