Re: E-bay - shot down Spitfire

Hello,
Taken from Derek Palmer's book " Fighter Squadron"
Spitfire IIa
Sept40- Nov 41
Serial start "P"
8017;8032;8077;8164;8166;8171;8204;8241;8243;8251; 8255;8270;8277;8366;8384;8432;8442;8460;8583;8659; 8667;8679;8729.
Spitfire VB
Oct 41-Aug 43
Serial start "P"
8561;8715
Then again it may be a "9" and not an "8" ?
28/8/41 P8439 F/Lt W.Cunningham DFC - POW c/l on Dutch beach (FCL vol 1).
Alex
