So they were mostly attached to bases rather than units. Interesting.

The USMC unit is interesting and when I tried to look it up, it shows I know far too little about their organization during the 1920s...

Bourne East Coast Expeditionary Force, Quantico

According to Marine Muster Rolls on Family Search he was with VJ Squadron 6M

six F6C3's went to VJ-6M ("J" for utility),

A7150 was F6C3
