This is some totally stupid nonsense and crap! Skalski was never in the Gulag Soviet, was arrested and sentenced to death by a court in Poland (prisoner of communist authorities). Released by communist authorities and restored to service in Polish military aviation after 1956. While in prison he wrote his famous memoirs "Black Crosses over Poland" published in Poland in 1957.
