Crew:
Lt. Laufs, Uffz. Gleißner, Fw.Rinklake
A/C:
Ju88C-2 (R4 + LH) 0779
The whole crew was killed in a crash after a sortie against Malta.
Crash site: Mount Etna 8(km south west of Adrano / Santuzza.

The crew is buried on the military cemetery Motta-St.-Antasia burial vault 4.

from the book:
Heinz Rökker
Chronik
I.Gruppe Nachtjagdgeschwader 2
I/NJG 2
Juli 1940 bis Kriegsende 1945
Fernnachtjagd 1940 - 1942

Rökker mentions the loss on the 26th,
but I think the mission started in the night 26th/27th so the crash happened on the 27th

hope this helps

Werner
