That breakdown renders George Preddy the top P-51D ace (18 victories) and Glenn Eagleston the top P-51B ace (18,5 victories), right ?

Can I suggest that will be a nice little research task for you. A bit of primary research in the archives cannot be beaten

For each ace, find out what a/c they flew on each mission and then look up whether it was a B/C or a D/K. Should not take you very long.

If you apply a bit of mathematical probability to the research you do not have to look at everyone.
