Hello Roger, There could be a number of reasons: 1) This photo helps to complete a set of other photos of the same aircraft from different angles, 2) the person in the photo could be a relative and this could be the only known photo of him, 3) on occasion, buyers buy what they like without concern for price (for most of us, hard to believe). I recall an old photo of only an aircraft engine sitting on the ground get some bids. No other parts, people, nothing else. The relative distance meant little detail could be seen. Ed |
