Metal wings

The vast majority of the Hurricanes in France in May 1940 had metal wings. When a replacement arrived with a fabric wing it was considered as a sign that the bottom of the barrel was being scraped.....see 12 Days in May.

I believe (p.d.sure) that 1 and 79 Sqs had some fabric wings when transferring, but that was seven months before.
