I thank you for all the help you give me. There is no mention of an accident of a 79th aircraft for September 22, 1944. In fact there is no mention of anything at all. The only real thing is the date and name of the deceased. No doubt that in his move to Italy the 79th FG administration did not take the time to write about a death without a fight.
