By the way I have a sample of magazine öfh nachrichten- is it in any relation with the above mentioned book? From same association or publisher?

It's always wise to have doubts when you read a caption saying a plane is with a Nachtschlacht unit. Most NSG aircraft had exhaust flame suppressors of some kind, so the pilot wasn't blinded and so that flak/fighters could not see the aircraft too easily. It's not a certain indication but the absence of suppressors makes night operation less likely.

Of course some NSG 9's operated quite a lot by day on anti-partisan missions (NSG 2 in Russia, NSG 7 in Yugolsavia).

Wink Re: Fiat G.50 in Luftwaffe

Hello Pilot -

The photo of the Fiat G 50 'white 352' is published in 'Die Flugzeugfuhrer Ausbildung der Deutschen Luftwaffe 1935 -1945' Band II. by Sven Carlsen and Michael Meyer. The photo credit is Heydich.

The photo caption reads:

"Zum Bestand der 3./JG 108 gehorte im Juli 1944 auch diese Fiat G 50'.

You and other Board members may want to consider visiting the Captured Aircraft Topic area on the Luftwaffe Experten Message Board. The Italian Captured aircraft threads include several photos of Luftwaffe G 50s and a G 50B as well as several color profiles.

You may need to join LEMB to view these photos.
